T Series

The electromagnetic disk brakes group T series can work both in alternating direct current.

Besides the tested reliability, they are characterized for the followings aspects:

i Extremely strong structure;

ii Maximum rapidity of intervention with times that can practically be considered negligible;

iii Excellent dissipation of the heat;

iv Great facility of assemblage and maintenance.

Operationals

The purpose of the brake is that to arrest of the rotatory movement of a mechanical shaft.
The brake is projected to guarantee, intrinsic safety expressed plate torque value (Nm.) when is on rest position.

In the draw have been indicates the main elements that constitute the selfbreaking motor.

When electromagnet is excited [3], the armature plate [4] is attracted towards it thus compressing torque springs [6]. The braking disk [5], coupled to the drive shaft [2], is then free to revolve. When current is absent, there’s no electromagnetic field, springs pushing the mobile clapper against the braking disk thus braking the drive shaft. Adjustment of the braking torque is obtained by acting on the nuts[7]
