K Series
The Electromecanical spring brake series AC can be fed only with direct current.
Purpose of the brake is to determine the arrest of the rotatory movement of the shaft coupled with it.

Brake is designed to assure intrinsic safety at rest, thanks to torque springs.When electromagnet is excited [3], the armature plate [4] is attracted towards it loading torque springs [6]. The braking disk [5], coupled to the drive shaft [2], is then free to turn around.
When current is absent there’s no electromagnetic field, springs pushing the armature plate against the braking disk lock the drive shaft.
